Alex Santos is one of the hosts of morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda" and currently senior reporter of ABSCBN News and Current Affairs group, also lead anchor on news program of TV Patrol Weekend with Bernadette Sembrano and Radyo Patrol Alas Kuwatro with Jasmin Romero on DZMM.
He also part of weekly investigative program, XXX with Julius Babao and Pinky Webb just for a year before he replaced by Anthony Taberna.
He graduated in Ateneo De Davao University. He started on his career on television as anchor-reporter of TV Patrol Mindanao. Then he transferred to Manila and became a news editor for regional station under Sarimanok News Network. (Now ANC).For his first stint with DZMM, he assigned to do the hourly newsbreaks (DZMM Balita Ngayon). He offered to anchoring Radyo Patrol Balita Alas-Dose and Gising Pilipinas (with Cheryl Cosim). And TV Patrol Weekend edition when he replaces Henry Omaga Diaz and part of Alas-Singko Y Medya Weekend.
Alex was hailed as Best Male Newscaster tied with Julius Babao on 2007 Star Awards for Television. And last year, he earned his recognition as Makatao Awardee on Ateneo de Davao's Tao Awards 2009.
